White Volcanoes

Rare white volcanic cones (maars) composed of silica-rich ash near Madinah.

Unlike the typical black basalt volcanoes of Saudi Arabia, the "White Volcanoes" (such as Jabal al-Bayda) feature striking white and light gray landscapes formed by explosive silica-rich volcanic eruptions, creating an unearthly, snow-like desert appearance.
