Tarout Castle

A historic hilltop fortress on Tarout Island overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Perched on a high mound in the center of Tarout Island, Tarout Castle dates back several centuries, with foundations reflecting various historical eras including Portuguese occupation. Built from coral stone and gypsum, it served as a strategic defensive stronghold.
