Pigeon Towers in Ad Dilam are historic dovecotes associated with traditional agriculture. The towers were used to shelter pigeons, whose droppings provided valuable fertilizer for farmland. The surviving structures offer an interesting example of traditional rural architecture in central Saudi Arabia.
