Elephant Rock

Elephant Rock

(Jabal AlFil) is a iconic 52-meter natural sandstone formation in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, naturally eroded over millions of years into the shape of an elephant.

Rising 52 meters from the desert, Elephant Rock is a red sandstone monolith sculpted by wind and water erosion over millions of years. Located 20 km northeast of AlUla, it is a top sunset spot featuring outdoor cafes, sunken seating, and night illumination. Climbing is prohibited to protect the formation, but visitors can freely take photos from designated viewing areas.
