Al Zareeb Fort

A well-preserved coastal Ottoman fortification dating back to 1616 CE.

Located near Duba along the Red Sea coast, Al Zareeb Fort was established to secure the Egyptian pilgrim route. Built from dressed stone with square defensive towers, it remains a key monument of maritime and overland pilgrimage heritage in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
